Biography

Kakashi
"I'm not someone you want to be friends with."

"Lazy" is the first word that comes to mind when most dragons meet Kakashi. Yet his seemingly bored manner also carries a deadly confidence in his capabilities to handle almost any situation. Regardless of whether he thinks he can win a fight or not, Kakashi isn't afraid to engage in one if it means protecting those he cares about. Kakashi’s biggest weakness are family and friends. He won't hesitate to take risks to himself to keep them safe. One of the things he struggles with the most is the darkness of his past and the failures that haunt him. He blames himself for many things and doesn't want to repeat those mistakes. When it comes to unimportant meetups, Kakashi is almost always late. When confronted about his tardiness, he'll claim he got lost on the road of life or some other silly excuse. In reality, he visits a memorial he made for his lost friends and can lose track of time when he doesn't have to be somewhere urgently. In the Crimson Eyes, Kakashi oversees the training of new recruits and spars with everyone else to ensure that they all—including himself—continue to grow stronger. |
Kakashi was an only child. His mother died of an illness, leaving his father to raise him in a small clan of dragons who followed the path of the ninja. Kakashi was proud of his father, who was the strongest shinobi in the clan. Kakashi himself was shaping up to be a once-in-a-lifetime prodigy. Their clan undertook missions from larger clans to support themselves. Completing the mission was paramount to everything else, and any dragons who failed were often exiled in disgrace. It was better to die in the attempt than return home a failure. While Kakashi was still young, his father chose the lives of his comrades over completing a mission. Kakashi's father was shamed by the clan, even by those he'd saved. This resulted in his father committing suicide, leaving Kakashi to find his body. Kakashi became withdrawn and prioritized the clan's rules above all else, determined not to repeat his father's mistakes. He befriended two other dragons his age, and they collaborated on missions together. His friends desired change for the clan, advocating for the lives of those undertaking missions to be valued above the missions themselves. Kakashi refused to agree with them. A mission went wrong. Kakashi made a mistake and got his team in over their heads, which resulted in the deaths of his two friends. Devastated by the realization that he should have valued them more, he left the clan and took up the lifestyle of a wandering mercenary. One day, he came across a fellow Skydancer who was seeking to become strong. Kakashi took him under his wing and trained him until they eventually parted ways. That same student sought Kakashi out months later and invited him to join the Crimson Eyes mercenaries. Tired of wandering, Kakashi took him up on the offer. |
