But, for now, bask in their light amongst the ocher ruins of a fallen world, rejoice in their warmth in eternal cold.

They watch over the odd little desert town - Steadfast, it is called. A proper name. It clings to life like a roach, the last stronghold of civilization amid a crumbling land. The crack in the sky has not reached here - yet.
the crack seems repelled by the town, and this has interested the others, and so it follows them. there are many mortals here.
