Clan Black Glass's resident ex-highway man. Supposedly, Machidiel life before being taken under Lassuarium's wing was one of trickery and crime. He loves to spin elaborate tales of his daring deeds across the continent of Dragonhome, most of all show off the many trinkets that clutter his claws and limbs and telling of their origin. Often he is a pirate, or an antagonist of the beast clans, but his 'official' title is a highway man, in which he used to challenge travellers as they roamed on empty roads and make off with their treasures and prizes.
He is particularly short and stubby for a Pearlcatcher and is very sensitive about his height - he is a fair fighter however and a remarkable runner for one with such short legs. He has largely given up his thieving ways. It is known that he is a fantastic cards player and knows numerous ways to gamble with dice.
