Biography

Yazhu Diamondwing, an archeologist and theology scholar. Deeply devoted to The Eleven and fascinated on any subject involving them, the Lightweaver included, as Yazhu has taken residence with the Garden Clergy to learn as much as she can about their beliefs, the history of their beliefs, and the Lightweaver.

Selected Virtue: Academic Diligence
Hindering Vice: Single-Mindedness

Birthplace:

Growing up near The Pillar of the World, Yazhu was raised on the tales of The First and Third Ages. Hearing about the banding together of The Eleven to fend off a sinister otherworldly threat had always inspired her, yet the parts where they fought and parted always brought her great sadness, especially learning about how The Earthshaker was left alone and separated from his beloved brothers and sisters. While she knew it was highly unlikely she could speak to The Eleven herself, this prompted Yazhu to travel to the other Flights that had since split from one another to learn about them and try to help bring them closer together. Even in this time where dragons from other Flights were welcome to intermingle with one another, she still felt that it was such a shame that the Flights felt compelled to fight against each other to protect their pieces of the fallen Pillar. Where or when this battle for Dominance began and why it kept going, she did not know, but in need of answers, she took to studying.
Yazhu traveled from territory to territory, reading their histories and archives without rest for days on end, only begrudgingly taking breaks to eat and maintain her energy. She had thrived in the libraries of The Starfall Isles and their great sages, listened intently and copied word-for-word the stories told by the elders of the Scarred Wasteland, dutifully memorized the historical songs and hymns of the Windswept Plateau's most devoted, scavenged for records alongside the oracles in The Sea of a Thousand Currents, pried what little information she could from the eremites of the most hidden sanctuaries of The Tangled Wood, and for months studied under the chief druids of the Viridian Labyrinth. Everything had proven to be an enlightening experience, yielding fascinating new details on the beliefs of other Flights she had otherwise not known, but her work was not done until she had learned all she could and could eventually bring the Flights back together.
Which brought Yazhu to the Sunbeam Ruins, a place she had been looking forward to visiting if not for the shared enthusiasm Earth and Light had for history and archeology. She's already studied under many scholars and will study under many more, but for the time being, she studies under the Morning Roses' clergy, finding a bit of a different experience than other clerics of Light given the clan's background, but it is an experience she finds fulfilling nonetheless.

Yazhu has a one-track mind, and that is to study. History, theology, and anything else she can get her claws on. She has a ravenous appetite for information, and must constantly seek new things to learn. However, outside of her life as a scholar, she is a tad awkward. Altruistic as she may be, she sometimes has a harder time fully understanding what makes other dragons tick, especially during conversation. Yazhu tries to avoid idle banter if she can, most of all because she can never fully discern when her time is to speak and accidentally starts talking during what was really just a pause, and then she worries if she's talking too much or being rude.
