Hekate is a mysterious Nocturne dragon, and the clan's resident practitioner of animation, a rare form of magic which imbues inanimate objects with life and intelligence.

"Animation is a way of showing respect for antiques - hence why I gave all those heirlooms the ability to defend themselves."

Hekate's chosen familiar is Iris, a glowing globe. She was her first fully successful animation.

Hekate hatched from a scattered Nocturne egg discovered near the lair on the first day of the Night of the Nocturne festival. Raised by the Seckendorff clan, but remaining in contact with her brethren, she was initiated into the secrets of the Night Nocturne, and quickly discovered a gift for the arts of animation used to create each year's population of object entities.

(Hatched from my first ever Nocturne egg, on the first day of my first NotN. Fun fact: She's my 101st perma overall, and the 69th dragon to join the Seckendorff-Glückskatze lair.)
