MICOLASH

HOST OF THE NIGHTMARE

B a c k s t o r y

Micolash is a plague-born Imperial, born as a single baby. She was a strangely sickly baby in spite of her element, constantly coming in with another new sickness she caught and causing her parents a bit of a headache. Whilst they weren't sure if she was going to make it or if she would be treated well by her peers, they believed in her.
She had finished education in both the Blight Sanctum and Hellwell Undercroft, bouncing between the two locales depending on her studies, though wasn't a high-end student. More or less an average one. Though once she graduated, she had decided to move over to the Tangled Wood, her escorts sustaining more injuries than her. Of course, Micolash made sure they were okay before bidding them well and being on her way.

The Imperial hitched a ride all the way to Wispwillow Grove, seeking out a place to live and soon after joining Darkslink after Pike heard her looking for a new home and offered to bring her there. The clan welcomed her with open arms, Bloodbark getting along with her well due to their personal histories with being a sickly individual. While she was settling down in the clan and meeting everyone, she met and made acquaintances with Salbia and her mate, Caunif.
Micolash was very interested in Salbia's gardening, being she's a Plague dragon and this is her first time being in anywhere where there was actual flora, let alone a nature dragon's garden.
Caunif introduced her to two other Imperials, Urban and Dremasul. Despite all of them being Imperials, they quickly formed a close knit friend group and hung out in a sort of grey area between clan lands often, since Darkslink isn't even moderately close to other clans in the Wispwillow Grove. They typically talked about what they were doing with their hobbies or what had happened in their clans, and sometimes, their babies. She always did well with them, having an affinity with kids.

This was a mistake one day.
They were identified as enemies by the war.
They were slaughtered.

Ambushed by the likes of several warriors, Micolash witnessed her friends lose their lives in front of her, unable to react to the blood sprayed on her before she herself felt a sharp pain in her chest for only a second, before the world went dark- darker than she'd gotten used to.

She never knew what happened to Salbia.

The warriors realized their mistake, realizing they had killed civilians and not enemy soldiers, and fled the scene without a moment's notice, leaving the Imperial bodies to rot without ever moving them. They never knew the consequences of that decision.

It had only been a few hours, but those few hours gave way to horror. Salbia had finally gotten out of a manic state and led the clan to the site of the massacre, which unfortunately made them witness the grotesque sight of the bodies merging together, limbs and bones cracking and popping with the horrible noise of flesh merging. Two of her kids were there when it happened, inflicting them with the memory of watching the Emperor rise.
Being morphed into an Emperor left Micolash- or ALL of the heads- dazed, before they all realized what they had turned into, quickly having them all go into a panic. In the midst of their pained wails and clawing at their face, Salbia fled, and it took more than just her kids to calm her down and bring her down to ground level again. The Emperor didn't know what to do, they didn't want to be this.

Micolash was rejected by the only survivor from the friend group from grief and unwillingness to accept he had become part of an Emperor, and she quickly became paranoid about what Darkslink would do about her. She hesitantly returned, spooking everyone until the patriarch and matriarch recognized her and welcomed her back in.
Despite the Ridgebacks being hard at work carving out a special spot and wider routes for her, her paranoia and anxiety birthed out imaginary alienation. It was never happening, but she was simply too scared of her own strength, nearly caging her heads in an impulsive decision.
She settled back into the clan, sad and tired and dealing with her own strange grief.
Though, the plague in her was like an annoying voice in the back of her head- but, she listened, and the Emperor was proud of her newfound strength, and promised to herself she would only purposefully wreak havoc if her clan was threatened.

She doesn't feel well again.

Long before her transformation, she met her mate Luther and had a nest of four. She had studied ancient Shadow before arriving in the Tangled Wood, so she named one Plaisanter, and the others Noxure, Axelle, and Santai. She raised them until growth, although Santai went off to the war voluntarily, despite her pleas for him not to. She had gotten a letter that he had died in a battle after some time, causing Plaisainter and Noxure to leave off to the ice territory. Axelle was the only one that had stayed with her for a while longer, before he left off to the wind territory. She at least got a letter detailing Plaisainter and Noxure's new locale, and she still wonders what happened to Axelle…. She hopes he's okay.

After her unfortunate transformation, the clan walls had to be expanded with the help of the Ridgebacks to fit her increased size, which she felt bad about.
After a while, she's gotten more used to being an Emperor, though still hasn't gotten "used" to it, per se. During this period, she had met Tempestracer, both of them feeling a bit more comfortable as soon as they noticed each other being aberrations themselves, and formed a friendship over their shared weirdness. Not long after that, Orca butted herself in, the frankly super stubborn Banescale wanting to help them both with their anxiety about fitting in.
She also still retains warmth despite being undead, and coupled with her massive size and multiple heads, she makes a great nanny. She was assigned as the clan's babysitter, though did not know until Senka and Pelagius and other couples came to her with eggs. Despite her inner turmoil, she was happy to accept this role and happily babysat any babies or nests the clan wanted her to watch over with surprising gentleness. That role had pushed her to try and start another nest of eggs with Luther, though she had only ended up with one due to her vastly reduced fertility. While a bit sad, she was happy she was still able to have eggs and would raise it with just as much love as her first nest.
When Sereuse[?] hatched, she found it a bit ironic she looked like her older sister, and decided to name her in ancient Shadow as well for that reason.
