Biography
Info:
Name: Arcturus
Pronouns: He/Him
Age: Teen
Flight: Arcane
History:
Eager to learn magic at a young age, Arcturus went off from home in search of a mentor to teach him. He found a shadow flight wizard who took him in...but he did not see the wizard was cruel. The wizard trained him, but harshly, and beat him if he made mistakes. And the wizard would rig tests and duels to make the poor youth fail, over and over...
The final duel happened upon the full moon, and the test was to have Arcturus best the wizard in a fight. The wizard, however, cheated, allowing an easy win. As a final blow, the wizard used a cruel and painful spell on the youth, scarring him horribly. When he awoke, the wizard told him to leave for good, and not return until his strength could be proven.
Defeated, humiliated, in agony, and scared, the young mage left, training alone in the woods in hope of pleasing his old master, someone who he never saw was corrupted...
The boy returned a few times when he thought he got stronger, only to be beaten again and again by the cruel wizard. Done, the young mage staggered through the woods, scared and full of rage. He practiced his magic alone for a while until he heard a voice. He saw in the distance a small fae, playing in the fallen leaves. Angry at himself for failing, he formed the dark spell that scarred him in his hands, stomping towards the small fae. But, as he approached, he saw her innocent eyes...she was a child...
He...he can't hurt her...what kind of monster was he?!
Crumbling, the fae notices him and tries to talk, but young Arcturus only can cry, in shame at his actions. Despite it, the fae feels sympathy, and offers to take him home with her, where he can have a good meal and a nice place to rest. He agrees, and follows her back...and eventually revealed his plan to hurt her...but she forgives him, seeing how he was hurt, and scared. She knows what that's like...and he sees her own scars.
After some bonding and crying, she offers him a home here, safe from pain or evil. He agrees, putting the wizard behind him. He doesn't need his cruelty anymore...he found a real home, and a real family, and he soon brings his mother to them as well. And...finally...he's happy~
Personality:
Arcturus is excitable and eager, a lover of all things magic. He's happy to please anyone, often a bit blind to his own wants and needs. He is shy, and nervous, which causes him to stutter and fail at times, though he always gets back up. He adores magic and space, practicing his spells all day, and stargazing and mapping the skies at night.
