Optimus Prime
Prime & Leader of the Autobots  Born to Codexa and an unknown parent, Optimus Prime has led his people from their home territory in search of a better life. With war having torn his homeland apart, he has had no choice but to lead his Autobots to the Arcanist's domain to seek shelter. Before he became Prime, he was a simple archivist who took care of his mother's hoard of hidden knowledge. He trained under Alpha Trion and only left his station when the oppression of the ruling class became too much to bear. He worked alongside Megatron to try and free their people, but differences in opinion and the Matrix binding itself to Optimus shattered any alliances that remained. While naturally gentle, Optimus is more than capable of violence. He is a fierce warrior bound to the Matrix of Leadership, an ancient tomb that grants him wisdom and strength at the cost of bearing its chains. He is forbidden to be selfish in any serious capacity and thus cannot offer any sort of favoritism so that he may yet remain a leader for all of his kind. Weary from war, much of his time is spent resting and preparing for his inevitable conflict with Megatron. |
Optimus is mated to Elita-One legally, but he has had many hatchlings over the vorns. Only a few have remained with him over the course of his life, namely his eldest, his youngest, and the son he adopted from a relative out of necessity. He worries for his sons, but he does his best to let them be. Although there have been times where Elita has had to drag Optimus away from interactions where he had no business involving himself.
