Despite being the son of a DRONE from a HIVEMIND and his insect-like appearance, GATHERER is a free-minded dragon who is much more interested in tending to his garden than assimilating anyone. Due to a mutation, the hard chitin on his body has become incredibly thick and he has even sprouted a second pair of delicate, insect-like wings, and a pair of mandibles grow from his jaw. Despite his somewhat off-putting appearance, GATHERER is a gentle spirit who doesn't talk, and isn't very expressive due to the hard chitin plating on his face, but once someone learns how to read his body language, he becomes easy to understand.
In his original clan, he had never been given a name, and was well on his way to serving under the Gladekeeper. He didn't have any aspirations nor hobbies, but he knew he didn't want to live a life of servitude, so he left and began to wander the world of Sornieth.
