You're breathing heavily. You keep having to sniffle as warm liquid keeps blocking your nose. Heavens, you wish it was snot.

Red flashes in your vision and you're already screaming, scrabbling as far back into the crevice you have found yourself in.

A large, blue eye peers in, wide and fixated wholly on you.
A whimper escapes your tense throat.

You don't think it can reach you.

Lips pull back, delight curling into those eyes as it took a step back. It looked like a massacre, all red and furs and scales - who even knew what else. It is a mockery of a gentle skydancer. A sin against dragonkind itself.

Plague touched, perhaps? Your mind flits over the sentence as its lower jaw drops - and splits in two.

You could barely manage a sound as some sharp sort of pain lances through your middle. A stomach ache, you barely register. It wouldn't surprise you, stress got to you in those ways.

Something was getting louder. A chant of some sort.

Isn't it weird the dragon, if you could even call it that, isn't moving?

It was asleep, wasn't it?

Reassurement floods your nerves and you relax, tentatively stepping down from how you'd crammed yourself between the rocky walls.

You could probably walk right out of there. It was asleep after all, eyes shut.
