BARGHEST LORE AND LINEAGE PROJECT
GENERATION IV SCARAB | ANKH'S LINE
"Father always liked me the most..."
As the youngest, it was only fitting that he was spoiled the most. His father would often go out and hunt whole obelisks just to satisfy Conan's cravings, snatching eggs from the vault and nests just to make him happy and full. Conan says its because he was the most special, the most unique and powerful witch of the litter, bearing a rather bearish and large appearance, larger than his littermates... his father says its because his hunger is so great, that if left unchecked, he would tear the clan apart-- literally. He loves the chase in the hunt, letting prey go just to catch it again. His vanity and hunting habits were a major reason for the litter pack's disbandment. Fear for the clan who has him, when his hunger finally breaks. |
Children of Plague often don't live past their first year. The Abiding Boneyard was no place to have a family, and yet that is exactly what happened; borne of a clever and coy Barghest and a reluctant and distant Shifter, three pups learned quickly that they were merely tolerated in their clan. From birth, they had to fight; familiar vultures and direwolves would pick at them, trying to make them keel over and fade away. Their parents did nothing but stare; they were of a topmost and resilient lineage, where only the strong survived. If they couldn't survive something as simple as childhood, how would they navigate their adult life? Three little pups were plagued with the same hunger as their father. The first few missing hatchlings were blamed on those same direwolf and vulture familiars, however when the eldest was caught in her beastly form trying to tear a newborn guardian hatchling apart, they were all exiled. They remained a pack into adulthood, scavenging and ravaging any nests they happened upon, which eventually turned into any patrols, which then turned into any clans; they hadn't even been adults when their hound forms had reached full maturity, all different sizes and shapes. One failed hunt too many has led to the pack tearing apart, separating forever; their hunting styles were too different, too special from each other to agree on one way to stalk and capture prey. This one wandered to your clan, uninterested red eyes boring into your soul as they licked their teeth. May the Lords save us All.
