Biography
You spot a small circus tent in the distance. Did the Trickmurk Circus come early? After getting a little closer, you spot a small sign.
“Visit Selene the Seer! Card Readings, Fortune Telling, and Potions For Sale!” it read.
You decide to step inside. The interior was decorated with rich blue silks and different trinkets. The tent was heavy with the aroma of herbs and tea. You see a pearlcatcher sitting at a wooden table in the center muttering to themselves. As soon as you set foot onto the carpet, they look up at you.
“Come sit.” they say briskly. You walk over to the table and sit down on a sapphire blue cushion. “I’m fresh out of potions and my crystal ball is being polished, but I can give you a card reading.” they say, pulling out a deck of purple cards. You nod. They hold the deck of cards out in front of you, and you pick one. “This card will reveal the.. uh.. the one thing you desire most.” Selene said, setting the rest of them down and pushing the remaining card towards you. You were pretty sure they were just making it up as they go.
You flip it up and see drawings and symbols that make no sense. Before you can fully understand what’s on the card, they snatch the card back. “That’ll be 15 gems.” They say, glancing at their claws while shuffling the card back into the deck and placing it back in the box.
“I also have a list of items I accept as payment.” they say, sliding a worn scroll over to you.
