Revelry, the Legendary Storyteller

"Ah, it appears you've found me. You may not know it, but you've been looking for me this entire time! Yes, I know about you. I know about everyone who resides on the Plateau. I suppose you're curious about the story. Let's see what we can find."

[He moves gracefully, almost like a ghostly spirit, and heads to a nearby bookshelf. He finds a particularly dusty and worn tome, older than any artifact you've ever seen, and he opens it to a page he seems to have marked with a dried sprig of some kind of plant. His eyes lock onto the page and he clears his throat.]

The Misfits Clan: A Timeline of Events So Far:

• The original clan in this area was small, led by a tundra king named Atlas and his queen Songbird. Their appointed pearlcatcher advisor was named Moonbeam.
  
• Encroaching beastclans became more of an issue, with certain groups getting too close to the wind clan’s territory.
  
• Many dragons became uneasy, mostly the clan leaders, and more drastic measures were taken to secure the land. Advisor Moonbeam was the first to suggest a way to prevent beastclans from coming near the clan.
  
• Deadly traps were secretly set to steer beastclan members away and keep the dragons safe, but all the king did was tell dragons not to leave the area until security could be promised - he did not warn them that the traps were deadly.
  
• A young fledgling wandered off one fateful day, accidentally falling into one of the traps (which was made of stone and metal, mangling the child’s body.)
  
• Members of the clan were furious and started an uprising which quickly turned violent. The king and queen were attacked, some members of the council were killed, and many from both sides were injured.
  
• Stormy happened upon the clan after the fires and the sounds of screaming attracted his attention. He soon found out the awful truth and sent his own dragons to help with the battle.
  
• Several of his own clan’s members injured or killed anyone involved in the fight, without realizing who was against the leaders and who was protecting them.
  
• The battle ended with Stormy taking place as a self-appointed prince and banishing the old leaders to the far reaches of the territory, considering this to be an act of mercy that he should be praised for.
  
• From now on, beastclans were allowed into the clan without judgment, and equally so were the “misfit” dragons. A handful of dragons disagreed with his stance on beastclan acceptance.
  
• Not all members of the old clan were told about the injured child and so are convinced that Stormy wrongfully took over with his own clan.
  
• Eventually, some dragons broke off into a secret rebel group called the Peacekeepers. These are daughters of the clan and their allies, coming together to find a peaceful way to disband the Misfits and force Stormy to step down.
  
• To keep his leadership and power intact, Stormy began to study arcane magic intensely, finding himself falling into restricted practices and becoming overwhelmed by the magic. It changed him. He grew to be immensely paranoid of those around him and began to shut out even those who loved him. The magic now plays off of his insecurities and his ego, building on itself the more he loses focus of who he really is.
