Earthrunner: The Swift Claw

Earthrunner was once a young and impetuous Imperial dragon, quite different from the breed's normal reserved attitude. The other Imperials of the Crimsonbound Alliance looked upon him with some concern--not because of his rash personality, but simply because his arrival increased the lair's concentration of the breed to levels the others found uncomfortable. He was acutely aware of their discomfort, and pushed himself to extremes--sometimes dangerous ones--trying to prove himself worthy of his place.
Ultimately, though, it took something far more drastic to win him his peace within the Alliance. Aided by Hemlock and a powerful witch doctor she'd met on her travels, Earthrunner forged out on a journey of discovery, acknowledging himself to be just as uncomfortable in his own skin as his lairmates were with his presence. This understanding achieved he was able to accept a spell of genetic manipulation, turning him into the Spiral dragon he now believes he was always destined to be.
In serving the Alliance, Earthrunner works closely with Earthwarder; in addition to keeping the lair's earth and stone free of creeping plague membrane, they carry out the clan's digging expeditions.

The Crimsonbound Alliance was forged in the harshness of the Scarred Wasteland, as many disparate groups of dragons banded together to survive. When Sorneith's magic surged, the Alliance's lair was ripped from its place, warped into the Ashfall Wastes by an unknown force. Now the Alliance is united in two goals: surviving their new home, and finding some way to return the lair to where it belongs.
The Pride are elemental champions, whose job was once to protect the lair from the creeping tendrils of Plague. Now they use their powers to sustain the lair in the barren realm of Fire.
