Galben stood on the outside of the caravan's camp, staring emptily through the bareness of Dragonhome. Storm clouds covered what would've been a clear night sky, a sign of an upcoming storm.

Galben could not remember much of the Tangled Woods, but still missed it dearly. Dragonhome was gorgeous, but it was plain. The sunlight pelted down on its travelers during the day, and a cold, unwelcoming breeze overtook it during the night. She wished she could understand her brother more, for he never cried for home. Never thought of going back, and claimed to only be looking forward.

It wasn't that life in the Caravan had been awful either, both the twins were offered meals and warmth, and she was allowed to study with whatever dragon was willing to have her. Her brother had taken the time to explore with other hatchlings, even under the overbearing watch of Shallan.

The sound of claws treading along the dirt snapped her out of her thoughts, as she whipped around to see who it was. Behind her was brother Giles, covered in dust with a hearty smile.

"You know, they're having a feast for our coming of age ceremony," He chirped, looking down at his sister. "We've been here for maybe two days and they're already celebrating!"

The smug look on her brother's face, full of warmth, was enough to make Galben forget her gloomy thoughts. Getting ready to follow Giles back to camp, she gave a nod of respect to the Badlands.

Soon she would leave this place, but she would always remember it.
