Torment

History:
Torment is actually a demon using a dragon's body as a vehicle for its soul, since its former host was destroyed in a war. Homeless, the demon drifted from battle to battle, searching for a new host, and it came across a sturdily built warrior who was too damaged to continue the fight, yet the body was whole. Torment decided to take a chance and investigated, discovering that the dragon's own soul had been attacked and shredded by a particularly nasty spell, leaving the warrior's body useless and dying.

Upon moving in, Torment found itself in need of food, shelter, and other necessities it hadn't needed in its previous body. It was also found by several of its kin, who had tortured it and been tortured in return, during their exile in the Beyond. Since Torment was no longer in a corporeal form, it couldn't escape, and was subject to their cruel revenge.

Broken, bloodied, and beaten, Torment used a transporting spell it had found among the dead in the battlefield. The spell burnt the spines along its new body and glazed them with new colors.

The spell dropped Torment in the middle of a desert, far away from the battlefield where it had fallen. It lay there, waiting for death to claim it anew, until a homebound Arken stumbled upon it. She sensed the demonic presence, but was uncertain as to why it had allowed itself into this shape. Her intrigue piqued, she moved Torment into her lair and nursed it back to health.

Upon learning its story, and despite what it used to be, she introduced the demon to the reigning wyrms, bringing the demon into the close-knit society that they ruled. Eventually, it even garnered a position as Head of the Royal Guard.

Torment lay in it's usual spot, dozing far enough from the Wildclaw's lair as to not disturb, but close enough that it could watch her if she left.
Sooner than was normal for her schedule, she emerged from her den, bustling down towards the other Wildclaw's lair.
To Torment's eternal amazement, a miniature goat, smaller than Torment's biggest toe, tweaked out of the den's entrance and bounced after the striding form.
Why didn't she eat it? Does she not like it?
Troubled, Torment vowed to inquire Bloodmoon as soon as possible. This development was not one of the possibilities she had mentioned.
