Hatched in Sunbeam Ruins, Naza and her sisters were born to Malefor (Male Imperial) and Jinx (Female Wildclaw), a pair of researchers studying the Hewn City. While not… cruel parents, the trio found themselves left alone for most of the hatchling days while their parents investigated the secrets of the City. This led to the sisters exploring the many ruins and playing along the rubble. Naza herself was drawn to the artwork she would find walls of former buildings. The murals inspired her own art, and as she grew she would often be found creating paints out of ochres and berries to create beautiful murals in their nesting area on boulders and even on fallen trees.

When the sisters reached adulthood, their nest was attacked but what they could only describe as ghosts, probably from the City ruins, and they all fled, their parents not knowing that their hatchlings had fled the nest from spirits they themselves had disturbed. Naza suggested they go to the North, to the Viridian Labyrinth, Land of the Nature dragons, the home of their mother’s ancestors. One Sister, Lashta, suggested they go to the Sea of a Thousand Currents, Land of the Water dragons, home of the Guardians and mysterious Ancient Undertides. The Other, Toka, suggested they go South, to the Shifting Expanse, Land of the Lightning dragons and home of the Ridgeback dragons. None of them could agree, so they decided to go their separate ways…
