Curator of the dead. Lessol stays in the Catacombs - he has no desire to interact with anyone he doesn't have to. His partner Anwar uses some of the passages in the catacombs as routes of travel. There are plenty of tunnels in which to store secrets and give remembrance to those who have passed on.

The large main cave with six (6) separate entrances is known as the Shrine. The Shrine is the safest place in the Catacombs for sure - there's always at least one someone there and it is protected carefully by guardgoyles.
Aboveground entrances are watched so we may always know who comes and goes.

At the center of the cave is a tall round fountain: the shrine itself. Plants grow in the fountain; there is a stone ring working around it where visitors may sit. A small enough dragon can be stationed inside a statue that stands in the fountain for the purpose of eavesdropping.

At the back of the cave are three arched doorways which look as if they lead down separate paths. They actually reconvene into a single pathway just out of sight, making them count as one belowground entrance. It is the most noticeable and the least labyrinthine of all the underground pathways out of the Shrine.

The ceiling is of the main cavern is high enough for even the largest of dragon breeds to stand comfortably; it is round, damp, and ringed by guardgoyles looking down. The stalactites are short due to careful maintenance. Underground entrance number two hides behind one of the four extra-large guardgoyles keeping watch over the Shrine.

The location of the third underground entrance is unknown to anyone except the uppermost dignitaries of the Spine.

as a child, Lessol was a relentless fidget. He did not often speak. He would growl, and huff, and purr, and scratch at the dirt, but his voice hardly ever came out. He was sulky and antisocial and small of appetite, resenting any outreach made by his adoptive father Eterne especially. Young Lessol was rarely seen outside the company of his Plague Sprite, Odessa, which baffled his clanmates (back then, only 6: Cleaver, Adja, Eterne, Aokuzei, Uryu, and later Anwar) since the familiar was apt to hold on to the Guardian's horns and scream in his ear.
Unbeknownst to the others, Lessol and his familiar had forged a special connection. They didn't communicate with words but with an acute sense of what the other could be feeling. Little Lessol had a hard time paying attention to the sounds of the world for fear of being assaulted by the voices of the spirits who were angry at his refusal to acknowledge them. Though his small clan did their best to support and tend to him, Lessol resented any outreach kindness and shunned spirituality as an extension of shunning Eterne himself.

Eterne prayed for a Plague egg after the death of his first companion, a Guardian also named Eterne, and was rewarded with Lessol's egg.
Lessol used to reject Eterne and the princely position that being seen as Eterne's son provided. He has evolved to see that radiating a respectful and dignified can gain him peace and understanding.
