To be a veteran came with a myriad of things; wounds, baggage, life-changing events, but for Syndor, he likes to brag the only thing he's got out of war is a comfortable pension(a more than slight lie). Syndor, a retired spy from the military, seems well accommodated into the humble town that is Roost's Edge, living off of a hefty sum of money that was given to him as various rewards from missions and his service. Because of his service in the military, Syndor has a more than adept control of fire magic and can set anything from a forest ablaze to singing the wing of a fly if he so wishes. But despite his relaxed life, Syndor still finds himself bored, as grumpy and reluctant to go out as Syndor might seem on most days. One can find him chasing even the most minute of leads in hopes of having something, anything happen.

Syndor met Risae at a swap meet for dangerous substances and ever since they've kept in contact. He often recruits Risae in his investigations around Roost's Edge in some weirdly grouchy and roundabout way.

Syndor doesn't know why no dragon believes him when he says III just might be a robot, some even calling him out for being "rude". He has quite the grudge against it now.
