Biography

Don’t let her diminutive size deceive you. Altair is a cunning and ruthless leader of the Talise Clan. She rules over her family with a strong claw and her decisions are absolute. Even the largest of her clan, the great Imperials, bow their heads respectfully to the female Fae, and with good reason.

The oldest of the clan, she is an accomplished sorceress and her decisions regarding clan matters have seen them through many a tough season. When the clan fell on hard times a year ago, it was her strong leadership that brought them back from near-collapse to the thriving clan they are today. Those who lived through that time at her side are utterly loyal to the Fae and those who are allowed to join the clan soon learn she is not a female to be trifled with.

One of Altair’s stricter and more personally-driven rulings is a requirement for all members of her clan to display traits that please the Tidelord, with colors on the right half of the color wheel. Those who do not fall into the pale-dark-purple-blue range are denied admittance to the clan. There are very exceptions to this rule, and usually the dragon in question has a skill or talent that has earned them Altair’s favor, or ties to an existing member that requires their membership to be allowed.

Hatchings that come from this clan tend to grow up to be artisans of some sort, or crafters both mundane and mystical. There are always exceptions though.

Altair herself has never taken a male as an official mate and co-leader of the clan. She has a long standing consort, but her attentions are fickle and there are more than a few of her offspring that were not fathered by Twilightcloud. His flighty and flippant manner can be irksome, but he’s been at her side for so long, it seems impossible he would ever be cast from it. His frivolousness as of late has been earning her ire more and more, and the possibility of a change has been the subject of gossip among the clan.
