Amou was born and raised in the ocean by the fish in her dominion. She didn't have parents, she simply appeared in the ocean one day. Her fish taught her many things, like how to protect all of them, including the microscopic organisms. She never thought she'd fail. The ocean had been getting colder. Amou couldn't find the source. She never thought it would be coming from her. She'd gone too close to Ice. The fish hadn't taught her that she controlled her domain. Her going too close to Ice had led to her cooling down the entire ocean. She realized there was only one way to prevent her from killing all creatures she was supposed to protect.
Go somewhere where nothing lived. She eventually found a deep pond in which nothing lived. She wanted to go back to her ocean many times, but she couldn't leave her pond. She couldn't go back and finish killing them all.
Though sometimes she wanted to.
She was lonely, after all.

Being alone for too long is... damaging to someone's sanity. Amou was powerful, after all. When the Tribe found her, she had lost all shreds of the dragon she once was. The Tribe had a deal for her. Go back to her ocean, and kill all the fish that she had once loved. She did so without question. She was even colder than before, getting colder the further she got from her purpose. They died almost instantly. Amou went back to her pond, which froze over while she was gone. She was no longer the Spirit of the Ocean. She was the Vengeful Spirit of the Ocean.
