Every dragon within thirty leagues of Atreides’ stall knew of him, and what he sold. He was a difficult dragon to miss, clad in shimmering cloths of pink-violet, often clutching a bouquet of beautiful flowers, and graced with plumes of sweet-scented coral smoke serving as his perfume and accessory all at once. But beyond his comeliness and charming (ever so charming, always,) nature, dragons knew Atreides for his high-quality wares. He prided himself on being one of, if not the best merchant in the land. His goods reflected that. Rare, prized, and often-exotic, Atreides had everything and anything a dragon could want – from delicacies of cuisine to famed weapons for battle. It was what made Atreides, well, Atreides, beyond his reputation.
(He didn’t lie to the dragons who asked him about it. He’d caused many a dragon to swoon over little more than a wink and a blown kiss, and he liked to have fun. What could he say? It was fun, flirting, and even more fun to do something with his teasing nature. Was that such a crime?)
Why, one customer had recently stopped by Atreides’ shop simply to tell him how his name was being mentioned in some very elite, very elevated social circles! Atreides had been shocked, but exceptionally pleased. He didn’t know how much he truly believed that dragon – Atreides made it a rule never to underestimate a client’s ability to wriggle their way into a cheaper price, and for all he knew it was simply a tactic – but it was nice to hear. It was nice to think about, too, on the rare moments he got to himself when he wasn’t busy. The notion of dragons talking about Atreides when he wasn’t there, saying wonderful things. It was more than flattering, it filled that – that awful feeling he sometimes experienced, when he was closing up for the day and twilight was falling around him. The remembrance that Atreides didn’t speak to other dragons about much other than his shop and his goods (and the rare innuendo), that he couldn’t call any of his patrons friends. Only customers.
But Atreides had work to do, and little time to dwell on memories or silly feelings; there was a dragon across the way, new in town, who looked like they’d blush at a simple smile, what fun, and a regular customer coming up to the shop – Why, hello there!

Also by slipfast but not as lore more of just a history lesson XD :D
the word 'atreides' comes first from The Iliad, by Homer. it's a word used to describe the Lord Marshal Agamemnon - King of Mycenae and the Acheans in the trojan war. Agamemnon (and his brother Menelaus)'s father is named Atreus, so 'Atreides' is a less-common title for them that pays tribute to their father. Homer does this, often calls characters 'the son of ____'. I'll admit that 'Atreides' pops up less in the epic than many other titles used for Agamemnon, but it's certainly there. Frank Herbert also used it in his sci-fi classic, Dune, as the main character's family house and last name (Paul Atreides). I'm not 100% sure if he got it from the Iliad, he might have read it somewhere else, or something, but he definitely didn't make it up. (I say this because Dune is the more recognizable media, but not the origin). It's a great name.
and my little explanation of the personality for Atreides.
Atreides The Savant (maybe not sure if this is the right word yet.)
Okay so..
Savant is "a very learned or talented person, especially one distinguished in a particular field of science or the arts."(quoted from the dictionary)
and if I were to apply it to Atreides then he would need to be talented in some field of the arts. (Me thinking out loud[in writing] here, don't mind me)
In his previous lore he is flirtatious and 'makes the other dragons swoon.' He 'drops one-liners' and when he walks he 'saunters' and makes the other dragons' hearts' flutter.
He is also a 'masterful merchant' and he prides himself on his 'wares and clientele' He loves beautiful things and makes friends easily, but most of them help him flourish and he doesn't have any real, close friends.
He is an expert and very good a selling wares and flirting with the other dragons propelling himself and his business to higher standards.
He is very distinguished and has a very distinguished personality. He sometimes wishes he was closer with people than just a friendly face everyone fell for and wanted he wished he was closer to them sometimes, but mostly he thought it didn't matter and that as long as he kept achieving popularity and his wares were sold then he was doing okay.
and also this little blurb, I swear I'll edit this later and make it make more sense, just not right now.
I also looked up Savant because it seemed like a cool idea, then I looked for a dragon I thought fit the definition It was defined as a person who was like good at something or a theme. So I was saying that something unusual was that Atredies was a good merchant who prided himself in his wares and flirtation.
He has this outside that everyone sees, but although he prides himself in that there is a part of him that wants friends outside of his goal to succeed and his merchant wares and stuff.

The sweet smell of strawberries and roses seem to follow Atreides wherever they go. This compliments their personality, for they are a very sweet obelisk who loves to cheer other dragons up if they're feeling sad. When they're not doing that however, they have another pastime that they enjoy. They will dress up all fancy and attend parties at different clans to flirt with the dragons at said party; dragon or dragoness, Atreides will drop one-liners and leave the dragons swooning.

He'd saunter in, flashy as a flicker. His attire would reflect his personality if you got to know him; delightfully charming and aesthetic. His grin would be far too contagious to avoid, and the hint of a smile would slyly curl on even the most mundane of drakes present. A pattern he oft has, to appear at these boasting parties, giving off such a foolhardy vibe because of his appearance. He is no noble; far from such a lineage. Yet, he entertains and dresses like such a high status, handsome as ever and able to knock the hardest walls dead with his flirtatious moves.
Your heart would flutter around the pulchritudinous Obelisk, eyes unable to stray from his elegant figure. You've noticed how he is; so uplifting and harmless; so comforting to those looking rather down current time. A scent floats in the air, one made of roses and perfume, tied together with a hint of strawberries. he reminds you of a pillow, so soft and fluffy, just like him. He's so perfect, probably imagined in everyone's minds the way you depict him.
Word has gone around regarding the expressive drake; it seems that he tends to float around these gatherings with excitement filled in his bones. People are lucky enough to find him "hidden" among the crowds if he ever makes an appearance. Even if the party was already bombastic, it'd surely be booming with his energy flowing around the area if he showed up. Such a swooning dragon he is; others have become so suspended in disbelief that he's left them baffled at times. How impressive.
Do you think you're exceptional enough for him? He's so elegant, and possibly hard to impress anyway. Look at you in your meager clothing; it's rubbish compared to his royal looks. There's no way he'd take even a glance at you. How could he? There's nothing interesting to look at in your direction. Save your breath and gaze for another drake.
Oh. . .He seems to be approaching you. . . .how quaint. . . . .
