Mist used to have quite the loving family, many younger sisters and two older siblings. His parents were sickly, and died when his sisters were still hatchlings, Mist himself barely starting fledgelinghood. His older siblings, adults at the time, left pretty soon after, leaving the children to fend for themselves. Mist of course took the role of the guardian, not willing to leave his sisters the same way he was left. This led him to losing much of his childhood. And Mist can not deny, he feels bitter. But never would he blame his sisters, practically his daughters, instead, much of his hate is directed towards his older siblings for simply leaving him alone. Though he never could act on his feelings, sacrificing much of himself for his sisters. How could he know it would all turn out to be in vain? It started with a small fire, which then quickly consumed the house, him and his sisters along with it. The girls didn't survive. He… Mist isn't sure he did either. Has Mist always been this silvery white? He doesn't think so. Mist has been wandering for so long, he finds it hard to remember a lot of things. He doesn't think Mist even is his name. What Mist knows, is that hunger and thirst, sickness and poison, even deadly injuries, can do no more than merely incapacitate him for days, weeks, months or years, a sort of strange hibernation where Mist is aware and feels the pain, but can not move in any way as his body slowly heals itself. He feels like centuries have passed since that day. Though Mist still harbors intense hatred for his older siblings, he still manages to act with a calm and kindness you would not expect. He speaks softly, and has a dry sense of humor that always seems to surprise others. Though not officially part of the clan, he comes back enough to be considered an honorary member, always bringing back useful trinkets and items he collected from months long journeys towards unknown places. |
