Most creatures move much more when it's warmer. The sun in the sky and the warmth in their veins push them to hurry hurry hurry toward whatever goals they or others have set for them. Even when they think they are resting, they are thinking about what is going to come next... always looking for the next moment to come.

Winter, however, is always waiting... sneaking up on the land and its denizens in a reminder that all things must end. The season brings with it the necessity to find warm places to shelter. To have patience for storms and the cold to pass. To treasure the bright moments in the long, cold, dark nights. Every moment is savored because it is living through to see the sun again.

Snowball embodies the idea that, no matter what time of year, there is always time to be in the Moment. To utterly be still and look around you, taking in everything without wondering what will come next... because this time is perfect as it is and should be treasured for as long as it lasts.
