Sitting idle on a barely working ship, however, is not something he was entirely prepared for. He often finds himself staring at the nearby planet while lost deep in his thoughts. They might have the advantage of more advanced augmentations and armor, but he has years of experience over them. Lately even the other weary denizens that populate the Shadow of Hope have begun to take an interest in the exercises. Chief has started to believe that perhaps they can all learn from each other, and at the same time better unify as a fighting force.

Cortana - AI Companion .-.-.-.-.Chief has been in many dangerous situations and has dealt with a long career of fighting. The most stable force in his life is Cortana. Combined they are a strategic force to be reckoned with, but he is just as deadly on his own. She claims he's lucky. Sometimes he wonders if he's cursed.
