Benzal

Benzal is...not the most agreeable dragon. Arrogant and self-centered, the only dragons he shows respect to are the ones he feels have earned it. He preaches the ideas of strength and self-sufficiency to such a degree that even the other Plague-born dragons of the town are put off by it. Whenever he gets into some kind of disagreement (which is often), he usually challenges the other dragon to a duel of some sort. No one has ever taken him up on it, so his actual combat skill is unknown.

One of the few dragons that has Benzal's respect is his partner, Allura. While her tough-yet-pretty crystalline hide was, well, alluring, what truly intrigued Benzal was two things. First, its solitary lifestyle away from the rest of the town, and second, its adept use of water magic. Having shown her merit in his eyes, he showed her respect, and eventually admiration.

But there's one last thing. Along with the rest of his frilly, pink getup, Benzal carries around a lacy parasol at practically all times. It looks normal enough, but apparently one time, when he thought he was alone, he talked to it, and it talked back! It's just baseless gossip, of course, but those crystal eyes always seemed a bit...bright.
