Biography
Reflections [Lore by PhantasiDreamin]
Castor and his twin brother, Pollux, sat together in a high tree. Their eyes would scan the horizon for any signs of shade-induced madness upon the quiet lands of the Windswept Plateau. Castor yawned and stretched his wings, sitting down in his makeshift nest as he glanced at his brother, who had his head in his claws as he watched the fields below. He sighed, smiling a little as he decided to break the silence between them. “I am glad our paths have finally crossed after all these years, brother. Due to our circumstances, I would have thought we would have never seen each other again.” Pollux hummed, scratching his chin with a slight smile. “This is very true. Honestly, I have been thinking about this myself. Back to that day, when we found each other once more.” Castor sighed softly, tossing his brother a bird he caught later that day to eat. “And how could we forget the day that we were separated either?” The pair fell silent as Castor dug into the bird as they reflected on their differing backgrounds.
Since they were young, the brother’s fates were entwined with the beastclans. Shade attacked them right out of the egg, their birthclan scattering like sparrows upon a hawk. Despite their reputations, a clan of Maren and Harpy fought bravely to beat back the shade-touched harpies. Though their numbers were decimated, they were able to suppress the threat. For the time being, at least. When the clans began to part, however, the soft wail of the dragon brothers broke the silence. To foster better relations between the beastclans and the dragons, both clans took a brother each, not knowing that these young hatchlings would grow to defend the Beastclans from the very thing that destroyed their homes.
Castor glanced back at his brother with a smile, good memories flowing back to him. They truly owed the Beastclan their lives, and the brothers were ready to defend their homes. Castor sniffed the air, and he wrinkled his snout at the all-too-familiar smell of Shade. He stood up, Pollux following his brother’s lead with a grin. “Are you ready, dear brother?” Pollux shook out his wings before throwing himself out of their lookout, Castor roaring with glee as he flew beside Pollux, both brothers ready to face their dreaded enemies.
