Washed up on the shores of the Driftwood Drag, Thames was found -- and determined to still be alive -- by a necromancer and his assistant who dwelt in the nearby graveyard. Half-drowned, clad in tattered rags and bone, he was carried back to the lair by members of the Guard, and allowed rest, warmth.

As he awoke and his strength returned, Thames imparted that his birth clan was lost to the fangs and claws of a neighboring clan, which had been corrupted by the Shade. He is unsure if anyone else survived, though he has said he greatly doubts it-- and is unsure of how he ended up adrift in the sea, and managed to survive such a long trip adrift.

He carries the bones of his family and ancestors with him; and can hear their voices..
