a dragon from
a Siren's Pearl pair
The nocturnal subspecies known as the Starry Night are a fresh water dwelling group. With poor eyesight, these dragons prefer to protect their river beds and oversee fish migrations at night, though during the day they are never too far from the rivers they call home. The Starry Night subspecies takes a special interest in the migration patterns of the fish that live in their waters, and will often follow fish pools along their journeys up and down the river.
The Starry Night species can be born in any clutch theoretically, though they are known to thrive most when paired off with each other. It is unknown where the first Starry Night came from, but their species’ habits are built on tradition based down from parent to child, thus allowing them to thrive across the regions. Where there are rivers, the Starry Night Riverfolk can adapt and live peaceful lives. The Riverfolk are a non-confrontational breed, and do not interrupt fishing efforts of clans along their rivers. Though not territorial, they keep their distance from other clans and tend to keep to their own.
