Biography
From Flight Rep to Fodder
As an egg, I was just one of many. The same as all my siblings and friends, many destined to serve under the great dragon dieties. In time, even my own father went off to serve the Earthshaker. But... When I hatched, they knew I was special. Not many dragons have as many eyes as I do after all!
So... My fate was changed. I didn't have to practice all those boring tasks. No laundry duty or scrubbing grubby old toes for me, thank you very much! While my siblings were prepared for an eternity of arduous tasks like gathering food, dusting old rocks, maybe even polishing those lense-thingys the arcanist is so fond of... I am special. I got to skip all of that nonsense.
Instead... I was trained indiplo... diplodocus? No! Diplomacy! My clan got word of a new clan in Plague territory, in an awful sounding place called "Quarantine Zone #128" ... I crossed my fingers, my toes, my whiskers! Anything to hope I wouldn't be sent there. But... It was arranged and off I went. But... At least I'd never need to go near all that nasty contagion! The lesser dragons could do all that nonsense! I could hide away, safe inside the lair. I was going as the Earth Flight Representative after all!
I arrived. I settled in. I met my fellow flight reps and learned about my new role. I was there to provide support and representation for any of my fellow Earth dragons involved in a dispute or disagreement. I mean the lair wasn't really to my taste but the flight rep area was reasonable enough. Besides... Life was easy! Everyone in the clan got along so well, us reps got to relax while everyone else did the work. It was even better than in my birth clan. My new clan didn't even expect me to learn anything!
Then... One day, it all changed. The clan leadership had decided they didn't need flight reps! Apparently everyone needed to work and contribute! Of course, I refused. I was born better than that! So... Next thing I know, I'm in the Coliseum with some bossy old abberation teaching me how to fight! He says that if I won't work for the clan I can go work for the Plaguebringer! Help her spread infection and disease!
I was not amused, but the dragons with me were delighted! Said they've always dreamed of being lucky enough to serve our "devastatingly diseased diety" ... Well I haven't!
So... I guess that's why I'm here. Hiding out at the back of the nursery. Of course Nanny Zaria knows I'm here, she says I need to figure out a plan and decide what I'm doing. I can't even go back home, my mother would say I'm a disappointment to the whole family now... So... I hide. Maybe I should have joined the working dragons...? Maybe I can pretend to be new all over again? Or would I have to change more... I don't want to change species but... Is there anything worse than using my own beautiful body to spread parasites and fungi for the Plaguebringer...? Maybe not... I don't know. Right now all I know is that I must keep thinking...
