 THE NIGHTMARE KING Thundering Demigod ─────────────────── ✥ ─────────────────── they/them • primary Apergia • chaotic neutral The great Demigod of Thunder claps, voltage sparks, rare materials and judgment. Known by many different titles and aliases, but their full chosen name is Rex Visio Nocturna. They prefer only Rex and sometimes King between commoners and very much disapprove of their holy name, the Sparkglider. Rex Visio Nocturna owns and mans the Tempest Tower and underground sectors, where dragons they personally invite reside. They are often strangely amused by the dragons staying in the spire, which is why noone really understands their selection. Rex is skilled in many different forms of machinery, they crack jokes at everything and could be described as very immature by some. Behind that non-serious curtain however hides an incredibly powerful divine, keeping their strong magic silent and from the sights of the 11.
» Story • Rex's hobbies and skills include many forms of machinery, jewel making, sculpting. embroidery and creative writing • They are very provocative and very much enjoy indulging in arguments, even if a bit hot headed, King is very smart with their words. To some King is willing to yield, like the Stormcatcher or Earthshaker, otherwise they tend to be ignorant, which leads to many unnecessary brawls • Fighting and squabbling is King’s way of showing intrigue and care, most of the time- • Born from thunder and lightning, along with Riptide and their kin Stormbringer, they carry out the wishes of the Stormcatcher • Takes on the form of a female ridgeback, as it’s the closest to their actual form, their wings glow with a million galaxies, and their eyes blaze with pure lightning "One day when you fall off your crystal throne, down in the Nightmare Realm I shall judge you." |

─────────────────────── ✥ ─────────────────────── The thunder manifestation, bolting across the sky in an array of sparks and dazzling lights, accurately named the Sparkglider. This is the King's divine form, one they rarely display, but their entourage and personal familiars could tell the story ... Rex Visio Nocturna was created directly by Stormcatcher. Moulded from his rawest power, they were his first demigod offspring. Rex was immediately thrown into battle, like a mechanical angel following the gods word. That day a great upheaval was caused in the capital of the Shifting Expanse, the creation process caused a tempest Sornieth hasn't seen since it's formation. The violent storm engulfed the entirety of the Ashfall Waste and Southern Icefield, even a bit over the upper regions, which was not the plan. Before Stormcatcher could arrive at the scene, the enraged Flamecaller was already battling with King. Grim ash and heavy storm clouds surrounded the holy beings, Flamecaller attacked the encroaching danger casting a shade over her realm, while the pursued newborn didn't understand the situation and fought back out of fear. Stormcatcher could barely tear them apart and explain, his reserved nature pushed back, for his new creation was standing right before the wounded Flamecaller. "Curse your miscalculations! My children shunned in darkness, the Emberglow blotted and sizzling through the rain! Curse your Sparkglider offspring!" Rex Visio Nocturna rejected their holy name and their throne beneath the other divinites. Instead they formed their own kingdom and own name. The Realm of Nightmares, though sounding like something far fetched, is actually just an abstract dimension, often mistaken for being the underground factories. King spends their time there when not attending to their forged region. Accurately naming themselves the King of Nightmares " ... the sparks ignite ... " |
