......Known both for his kindness and dreadful fashion sense, Vrothen is the Clan's Ambassador. While his work can take him from the clan for weeks at a time, he rarely denies anyone a conversation, and many of the clan see him as a father to them. He is involved with the clan both at it's higher leading level and on the individual level, and generally does not mix the two. He, along with his bond and charge, Vox, are the closest Tempest Sands has to official leaders, though neither claim any ruling title. When the clan no longer wishes them to lead, they have said they will step down - although the entire clan knows that day will not come.

......In addition to his clan duties, Vrothen spends much of his time researching Sornieth's flora and fauna, occasionally befriending them well enough to bring them back to the clan. His familiar Phytocat is one such creature, and has long been his traveling and tracking partner. Vrothen also has a penchant for discovering local folklore of the regions he visits, and collects stories for the Tempest Sands Library. He keeps many guides and journals on his person, so that he never is without a place to write down discovered knowledge. Vox gave him a SnowStreak Pinion to use as a quill that would write even in the Southern Icefield. He considers it one of his most prized possessions, along with his Lightning garb, worn in honor of the Stormcatcher, and his birdskulls, gifted by his eldest daughters Vina and Argenta.

......A small lab mishap turned him yellow and green for a while, but he's glad to be back in his old colors now.
