◇ IX - Signet of Daybreak

Becoming an adult is the big goodbye.
Goodbye to who you were, past friends, familiar places.
Kosma knows this all too well. Saying goodbye is something he has done time and again.

Perhaps in the past he had wished to become a hero.
But that wish has faded with time. And he has become someone his younger self would never recognize.
When did he become trapped by darkness? When had he begin to walk justice’s fine edge? He only recalled wishing to become a vigilante, standing at the edge of light and dark to maintain peace.
Then everything happened so fast as the city fell and disaster struck. He saw off loved ones and teammates and watched the squad leader he once looked up to slowly become a stranger to him.

…And then it became his turn.

The transformation ate away at the boy’s former self. He could see the others looking on in disgust. The boy that had once straddled the darkness, now found himself completely immersed. Now on his own, he struggled to keep the light from extinguishing, unsure when his dawn would come.

Unlike most, he was full of ambition, no matter the price. But when hopes become reality, they're no longer ideals, like something to be avoided.
No one can put it into words. For something to be called an ideal, it must remain a desire, unable to be reached.

Let me tell you a trick when talking to Kosma: Abruptly stop talking and you will see how he fidgets for the correct response. His thoughts are all on his face, but this is why you get more interested in pulling his leg.

By the way, Kosma plays harmonica very well and his skills are recognized by Eden. But since he rarely plays harmonica in front of anyone else, you have to find a way to let him play for you.
