Biography
MUIRENN
The tinkling of bells seems to follow them wherever they go. Are they blessed or cursed, only time will tell...
The stars guide some, while the wind guides others. Some, are even crafted by the Windsinger themselves. Muirenn is one of those few - even if she does not realise that fully yet.
The dragon appeared with no parents to a busy lair, while she was taken care of, without the guidance of parents and friendship of clutchmates, the dragon often found herself wandering off in the lair she appeared in; finding it easier to befriend familiars and other creatures than she did other dragons.
It was the Bamboo Phytocat she met that taught her the magic of the flight she had been born from, the way the creature's hollow reeds caught the wind and caused it to whistle, carrying the Windsinger's song.
She tried so hard to recreate it, to be able to carry the song with her anywhere she went... That was when she discovered how to craft dainty little windchimes, that caught the breeze and echoed the song.
The dragon could easily spend hours crafting these small trinkets, sometimes to the point where she would forget to look after herself.
Upon befriending a stray Arctic Hippalectryon who had wandered too far north from its home back in the Southern Icefields, with no one to escort it back Muirenn decided it was time for her to follow the pull that had been tugging at her and find somewhere she could call her own. Taking her chimes with her, so she would always hold the winds song with her, even in the chilling nights in the Southern Icefields. The Icefields went on forever, following the stars and the whistle of the wind in hope she would find something... anything... and that was when she found the small shore, the edge of the icefields; and the tiny clan that overlooked the sea.
It was the small chimes she had carried with her at alerted the night guard of the clan, as Muirenn struggled against the cold - it was clear the wandering dragon was no threat. She was brought into the warmth of the cavern and in the morning, she expected to see a flood of dragons, the same as back home but no this was far fewer. It brought a strange ease, even if she still felt more at home with the creatures and familiars that inhabited the area; the dragons of the clan she had found seemingly accepted that, and with that, she accepted them.
Still crafting her chimes, using them as guides when exploring the deep woods on the mission on finding any injured or straggling creatures. The chimes also helped to alert the dragon of any strangers and movements unfamiliar, she knew the wind, she knew it's song... and she knew when a note was out of place.
Back at the clan, while nose deep in crafting her chimes... the old habit of losing herself still apparent, the dragon would often break out of her trance like state to a plate of tea and food close by, the other dragons of the clan attempting to make sure she did not miss out when she lost track of time.
The healer of the clan often being one to sit with her and watch the intricate work, enjoying the tiny motions and meticulous craft. Muirenn wasn't sure how she felt about it at first, but he often cut through the silence with his aimless murmurs and stories of what he had seen out on his scavenge for new supplies... so she didn't mind too much.
