Epitaph

A sheriff from a small town hidden in the vast expanse of the Reclaimer’s Glacier. Migrants from earth mingled with the locals some decades ago resulting in a unique pocket of culture. Wardens morphed into sheriffs and fortresses became saloons. Even in the frigid cold, residents seem completely unbothered, opting instead for shockingly light, flexible clothing. This may be due to the fact that a large portion of the town is comprised of self-proclaimed monster hunters. These “tundra cowboys” go on frequent patrols wrangling any abominations that make their way over from arcane territory.

Due to a string of recent casualties, Epitaph has made his way over to lighting territory in search of technology that might help his people take down beasts in a safer fashion. In exchange, he’s offered to help design containment cells to better hold any unruly experiments that didn’t turn out quite right. He doesn’t really get the concept of “keeping them around for study” and has no idea why “learning from our mistakes so it doesn’t happen again” is such a big deal. If there’s a monster that won’t behave, why not put it down? Oh well, he ain’t the sheriff here.
