tsarina shifts, cool and uncommunicative, her gore-cruelty eyes like jewels set in her face. valued at a pretty penny, if one was to pluck them out. she knows she's here.

so - she was born wrong. wrong, but they still gave her a name. four syllables. tur-ve-lo-na. some kind of power. some kind of disease. her skin is slick like a lizard's. poison drips from the stars. so. she's wrong. and she's watching them, and she's watching her watch her. dark power. she doesn't move. she knows she is seen.

tur. ve. lo. na. tsarina tilts her head, leans back against the warm rock she's splayed across to sunbathe, and smiles. uncaring. how lucky of her to go unnoticed. her sister grabs attention with her loudness. her sister's boyfriend steals attention with his vibrant scales. her parents are too soft for this world of anguish, and they call (unwanted attention). yet tsarina is untouched by wicked gazes. hidden in plain sight. not under an overhang. there is a beetle on a clump of grass by the entrance. she doesn't move.

she never learned how to - how to - how to - how to - just now she's following them and trying. she can't. tsarina can. tsarina is interested in an amusedly scientific sort of way. u-se-ful. that's what she is. tur.ve.lo.na.
