Biography

Genna has lived a long life filled with both happiness and despair. This is her home. She helped build it and protected it with her life and carved the stones of its foundation and filled its empty walls with books of all kinds.

She knew what she was asking for when she agreed to take up Thanatos' offer that would save her dying clan and help further his own. But she didn't know about his Court, where they throw around money and wager leagues of dragons' lives like a card game. She is tired of the politics, the territory disputes, the damned dominance wars that have only gotten more unpredictable while the land churns with ancient magic and the God of prophecy has vanished.

What she not tired of is this clan she helped foster and grow into something she's proud to call her own. Proud to show it off to their old matron, Galia, where the word "clan" and "family" are the same here.
She is mate to Artemin and the two are the de facto leaders of Clan Solace. For a long time they were a domestic group that were more family than a clan entity. In the 2nd Era Solace became recognized as a working clan, much of their members are independently employed or carrying out services. They created an official Council of leading members, which in the past, was hardly ever held.

Previously a meeting of the Council was rare in the early days when they young and new. Trying to figure out what and who they were. Meetings usually meant food or money was getting too low, deciding to participate in the occasional dominance push, or the two times the clan moved. However times have changed. Their home is now the resident district of Thanatos’ realm, just large enough to be considered a pleasant little town. He provided the land, and in turn Solace provided trades and a wider radius of protection around the castle.

Solace's history is categorized into Eras.

The 1st Era the clan was new and jovial. Their little burrow filled with Galia and Tomek's children. Genna and Artemin arrived as hatchlings near the end of this time. Galia and Tomek are now able to provide information about this time previously lost.

2nd Era was filled with growth and compassion. Living in peace and welcoming those looking for it. Solace became their name.

3rd Era began when Galia and Tomek left to become Exalted to the Lightweaver. The clan absolutely thrived at home in the Mirrorlight Promenade. The cafe was opened, a traveling service built, and life was filled with books and music. Their young traveled far and wide, by good fortune they became part of well-off or influential clans. Many dragons passed through their humble manor bringing coin and good graces. Life was good.

4th Era the clan expanded into available land in the Hewn City. The life as they knew was crushed when they found themselves defenseless against the creatures lurking in the unnatural shadows in the land of Light. They were so sorely mistaken on the kind of danger they expected. Clearing out their new territory gave them confidence against their foes and chased them out easily. But when the night fell so did their family. Never were corrupted creatures so bold as to chase them to their front doors, and claw their way through their windows than that first night. Nearby clans had to care for their own, wary of being out after dark. It was a rude awakening in the beginning. Solace was resilient, but they couldn't do it forever. Aid tired out when the Dominance wars became severe. They knew famine. So many of its members were civilians forced to fight, they knew pain. The shadows chasing them sometimes didn't look right, they knew fear. Solace arrived with more than 50 dragons. At the end of the Era, 8 dragons stood. They knew death. The lights in their eyes and souls dimmed.

5th Era Enter Thanatos.

The clan history has gaps missing. The previous chronicler lost in the 4th Era.
