Vanilla

Artic explorer

Vanilla stays for long periods of time with Lumi's clan, charting and exploring the Ice territories. She brings along her assistant Flurry, they help along the trek, learning about the creatures that roam the cold snowy plains, bringing back the information to the clan's bestiary. Flurry and Vanilla have known each other for a long while, bonded together by their interest in the Ice territories. Vanilla can come off as cold and calculating, preferring to stick to the logical, but she's incredibly kind and strong. You can't see her emotions, even when she's on the verge of a mental break down, Vanilla has built thick walls of ice around her inner emotions. She is a perfectionist.

A crystal white imperial trekked through the snowy lands of Ice. She blended perfectly with her surroundings, almost as if she was made out of the cold herself. Soft snowflakes fluttered down from the pale sky.

"Vanilla! Would you slow down please?" a black and white Skydancer tumbled after her, their King Quillrunner, Leopard, trotting after them.

Vanilla glanced over her shoulder at the Skydancer, she wasn't bothered to slow down for the other dragon, instead keeping her quick pace. "Flurry, we are supposed to reach the Frigid Floes by afternoon and from the looks of the sun we only have an hour until then." She sighed impatiently, with a shake of her head.

Flurry slowed down their pace slightly once they caught up to the Imperial, their talons dug into the frigid snow with each step, numb from walking for so long in the cold. It seemed Vanilla wasn't bothered by the coldness of the environment they were travelling through, she seemed perfectly at home.

"Yes I know that." they said. "But, that's plenty of time and we're almost there." Flurry squinted ahead of the Vanilla, catching sight of the large towering icebergs coming into view in front of the two. "See? Look, you can see them now."

At his words she turned her attention towards where the Skydancer was looking, her icy eyes landed on their destination. "Good." was all she said before lapsing back into her usual silence.

Vanilla was usually this quiet and unreadable, that's how she always acted ever since she joined Yeti's clan. She was a kind and strong willed dragon, but it was hard to get past her icy walls. She didn't seem completely comfortable in the light territory where she currently resided in Yeti's clan, always finding a reason to travel to the Ice territory to explore and chart them. Luckily, Yeti was close friends with an Ice clan leader who on her request allowed Vanilla to enter his territory to carry out her charting.

As the two grew closer a Tundra emerged from behind one of the icebergs, approaching them at a walking pace. Bandages were wrapped around his torso and face, and scars littered his body. "Vanilla, Flurry, it's good to see you, I hope your travels were pleasant. Lumi sent me to meet you." he greeted them kindly with a dip of his head.

Vanilla nodded politely, while Flurry gave him a friendly wave. "Nice to see you too, Aqua. Our travels were very pleasant." the Skydancer smiled, glancing down at his poor talons.

"Thats good to hear." Aqua said. "Before I leave you two, I must warn you that we have a new resident living in this area... His name is Sasha and he's not the friendliest dragon. Try to avoid him, he isn't fond of dragons touching the ice around here and I don't want you to get hurt."

Vanilla tilted her head curiously at this information. "Oh? We will be careful then, thank you Aqua."

"No problem, just doing my job." he smiled. "I better be off now, I have some things I need to take care of. If you need anything come to camp and find me or Lumi."

Flurry nodded. "Of course, thank you for letting us come here once again."

Aqua waved before taking off into the sky and flying in the opposite direction, leaving the two alone.

"Shall we start then?" Flurry suggested, nodding their head towards the ice. Vanilla nodded and padded forward, the Skydancer following at her side.

"Maybe I'll manage to find a Shardback Slink this time?" Flurry pondered excitedly, their love for creatures seeping to the surface.

"Maybe you will." Vanilla agreed and brought up one of her front talons, running it along the ice.

This was home to her.
