A Brief History...
Despite his brown, Earth eyes, Sage identifies as a Wind dragon. He hatched and grew up deep in the heart of the Windswept Plateau, raised by a pair of Spiral parents who stumbled upon the small, rocky egg, and were even more hyperactive than their small, Fae hatchling (Sage has, of course, since transitioned into a Coatl). Sage was happy, but ultimately unfulfilled, living with the pair of Spirals who wandered the plains, without a lair or even a nest to raise their own hatchlings, so he headed south in search of a clan to join, meeting with all kinds of dragons along the way.

It wasn't long before he stumbled upon Ellis in the Southern Icefield, a beautiful Coatl who represented everything Sage was looking for: safety, security, and an elegance that his own parents lacked. It took very little convincing from her for Sage to join. Yll, the true leader of the clan of Frozen Aerie, recognized Sage's ability to connect with others and gave him the title of "Emissary."

Nowadays, Sage acts as the diplomatic face of the clan, directly interacting with other clans and wandering dragons who petition for a place within the icy walls of his home. He has both the stability of a tight-knit clan and the freedom to travel and meet the many interesting dragons and beasts of Sorneith. Although Sage has remained a lone bachelor since birth, he is hopeful that, maybe one day, he will find a nice dragon to pair up and settle down with.
