Merrion

Merrion descends from the thinning ice sheets into the frigid waters. A stocky but agile figure swiftly swims towards the deep. In less than a minute, the coatl comes back with a few fish in her mouth.


Ice coatls aren’t an uncommon sight across the frigid floes. Among the ice-born coatls, populations of so called “Seal coatls” have been known to populate the area for grater part of the continent’s known history.

They tend to be paler, smaller, and of of stockier body than their Ashfall cousins, and their feather crests are smaller and much more rigid and fin-like. A healthy seal coatl will have plenty of body fat to keep warmth. Agile swimmers, their dense waterproof feathers provide insulation from the elements.
