For a crowd, Corvus and his birds were rather quiet. Once comfortable in a tangle of cushions, all six of them silently observed the other dragons surrounding the fire pit they chose. Dragons of various sizes and clans, chatting and getting to know one another. And not just this fire pit, there were so many more, with even more dragons from different walks of life gathered together as equals.
It was nice, and it reminded him of home.

Well, 'home' is a funny concept for a traveling bard. In a sense, the whole world is like his home. But that's not quite the feeling he was thinking of. To Corvus, home was more of a place that invoked the feeling of safety, of belonging. A place to rest ones weary bones, surrounded by life and cheer whilst devoid of worries. For someone of his reputation, it's comforting to be able to find such a place and indulge in it's merry atmosphere. Never having known the place of his birth other than the vastness of Viridian Labyrinth, nor a family of any sort; Corvus was looked after and guided by travelers not very different from what he grew up to be himself. Each one of them had a specific town, but more than that; an Inn that was very close to their heart. A "home" they'd speak fondly of. A place they'd always return to, inviting others to visit as well. And eventually, Corvus found one such place for himself, too.

His gaze drifted towards his birds who were preoccupied with different matters. One was trying to snuggle into the cushion for a nap, one had been staring down a neighboring dragons jewelry as if entranced, whilst the remaining three had started happily cawing along to the songs played by the band; each more off-tune than the other, they certainly were no songbirds. The spiral let out a small chuckle, happy to see his travel companions enjoying themselves just as much as he was.


Before long, all six of them were humming along to the songs; no longer a quiet bunch.
