A certain freedom comes with leaving your family – one that feels bittersweet to you, but also strangely relieving. It’s not that you had a bad childhood, far from it; there are just certain expectations when you’re the only daughter and almost look like a copy of your mother. Sure, it’s nice to be treated a bit better than your siblings, especially when you are your parents’ favourite child – at the same time it also feels somewhat suffocating. You can’t say that you have ever understood why your mother was more angry with you than with your brother, Enki, when both of you created the exact same disasters around the clan. Maybe she saw you as more fragile, even though you are a hundred percent sure that you are just as feisty and steadfast as all of your brothers; but maybe it had also to do with the fact that your parents just didn’t want you to participate in Enki’s admittedly pretty stupid ideas. You can’t claim to be completely without fault in these scenarios – while it was your brother who came up with one foolish plan after the other, it was definitely you who encouraged and worsened every single one of his ideas. But unlike the Obelisk, you grew out of trying to cause trouble around Aderyn, your birth clan. Who would have known that you would become a collected (but quite argumentative) dragon, with a great talent in weaving? You also managed to find a certain love for books – sure, most of them are just as mind-numbingly boring to you as back then, but at least pages full of enchantments can spark your interest. Admittedly, you won’t be a great sorceress – or witch, for some reason you prefer that term – anytime soon, but maybe you’ll get there one day. And until then you’ll just keep weaving more and more magnificent clothes, which even dragons from different clans want to buy.

Shai is part of a 100 Hatchlings Challenge and appears in Nikkal's lore. I'd be really thankful if you would keep her for a little while or would breed her at least once so that she can count towards the challenge. But that's completely optional, of course. You can ask for a free re-naming scroll from Lucian #2716 to change her original name (Shai) to something to your liking. Feel free to completely change/rewrite/delete her bio/lore, but please keep in mind that she will stay a part of Nikkal's story. If you want to keep the outfit, please make sure to copy everything to your dressing room within a week after adoption. |
