They were found in the barrens.

Ivory sand coating their mane, they hid amongst the dunes. Silent. Waiting. Watching. Only a flash of lightning-filled eyes precluded their strike, twin maws leaping for the throat with patient precision. With their prey distracted by the cries of their sisters, who was to expect the deadly ghost half buried in the sands?

The violet foliage of their new home made for more difficult hunting grounds. Yet, they made their nest in the lee of towering tourmaline spires which glittered the same hue as their mane. Rosy shadows obscured them from view. There, they lay silent. Waiting. Watching, precious eggs sheltered beneath their body.
