The devil’s claw taps impatiently on his wooden desk as his many emotionless eyes remain transfixed on you. You were reluctant to ask him for help, but he did promise that he could grant any wish…

“So, are you going to sign it?” Malum murmurs as he leans closer.

The pen in your claws shakes quietly as you think. You want to read the fine print on the contract first, but the demon seems to be growing impatient. In a panicked hurry, you scratch your name onto the paper. It quickly burns away into ashes as you do so.

“Good,” he purrs. “Now, I don’t work for free. As stated in the contract, I require my payment before I begin.”

Payment? You pull out a few bags of coins and gems. However, the demon pushes them away with one of his claws.

“I have no need for material wealth,” he growls. “I desire something a bit more… intangible.”

Suddenly, an uneasy feeling wells up in your stomach. The world seems to melt and spin around you as you sway in your seat. Panicking, you look up at him. All you can make out are his unblinking, emotionless eyes.

“All I require is your soul...”
