Was turned into a vampire by the Bat. Still not used to the whole blood-drinking thing yet; there's this terrible pit of guilt in her heart whenever her fangs pierce someone else's skin. "You get used to it after a while," the Bat says, but Ranka isn't too sure.

There are upsides to being a vampire, at least; the superhuman abilities are nice to have. And... as much as she hates what she's become, and what she has to do, she feels a sense of kinship with the Bat, who was once just as frightened as Ranka is now. It's a rotten life, but they're in it together, no matter how dark the nights get.
