casimer was born to the order, a concentrated clan devoted to the slaying of shadebeasts.

at first, he thought this a noble honour. to rid the land of something so evil. to bring it in, and learn how it works, and start peeling it apart in layers to really make sure it was gone. helping other dragons, freeing them of infection, clearing their ancestral homes of beasts.

the dragons of the order are good dragons. but their lives are full of violence, and sometimes, they have to do bad things.

there is a perilous line between good and bad when it comes to dealing in lives. which dragons can be cured of their infections, and which need to be put down?

it was never taken lightly. but even that was too lightly for casimer.

he left without completing his training. for what purpose would he need to learn to purge the shade? he was never going to make himself make the decision to take a life. even in this horrid world he lived in, he would not make himself do it.

instead, he devotes his life to protecting them. he is good with a shield, stern and grizzled enough from his upbringing to have anyone think twice about using knife or claw on the one he guards under his wing. this is the tactic. for if one should strike, his employer does not need know know that he would not strike back.
