At first glance, you would think that what is initially a golden statue of a ridgeback kept by the Finance Minister is just that; a golden statue. The truth of the matter is actually WAY darker when you spot the ghost around it at night sometimes. This is an actual dragon made into a victim of the gaze of a cockatrice, and then taken by some random dragons and dunked into molten gold, thus giving her a gold coating.

Even Quara had no idea about the truth until the small ghost started to appear around it. After Cumulo intervened, the ghost explained the truth of the matter to the two of them. So far, Quara keeps Zayita around at where she works, not just to keep an eye on her, but to hopefully find a way to revert her to normal.
