Aurelis was born to influential parents, and grew up feeling some pressure for perfection because of it. While his parents had big plans for him, all he truly cared to do was learn new things about the world around him, and share that knowledge with others. He would often get fixated on random things without any rhyme or reason, be that a book, a plant or animal, or a certain trade, and he would meticulously study that thing, either until he learned everything he could about it or until something else caught his eye instead. He left home in order to discover new things and he decided that Shellkeeper clan was the best place to do so. Soon after arriving, he realized that none of this was true. The story given to him was not his own- it belonged to another dragon who resided in the clan before him. He was nothing but a replacement. It's all a lie, imposed onto me by some higher power. My parents are important, yes, but they're also very supportive. Father had warned me about something like this happening before I left home, in fact. I didn't believe him at the time but I met Misch here who helped me understand just how foolish I've been.
I'm not going to erase or edit this silly fake backstory. It can stay here so you and any other lurker reading this can pretend that it's real. It's what you do for the rest of them anyway, isn't it? Those unfortunate enough to not be able to comprehend the nature of their reality, their pitiful existence as puppets. I'm not going to let you do that with me. My story will be my own, and you're not privy to any information about me, unless I choose to give it to you.
