Biography
Pip
He / They
"I owe so much to everyone..." Pip said with a wide grin. "For teaching me that it's okay to be loud, it's okay to want to be taken care of, that it's okay to be... me!"
Smaller than most hatchlings but loud enough that they refuse to be overlooked, Pip is the epitome of a hyperactive child. They appear naive, curious and forgetful; flitting around from place to place and switching conversation topics in the blink of an eye.
He can be shy at times, often paranoid and scared of others; but once you get him to open up, Pip is a wonderful friend. Pip is a ray of sunshine, doing their best to share that with others.
"I'm all grown up but you couldn't tell/Now I don't know what to do with myself" |
In the past, their parents didn't care for them; instead leaving Pip in the care of the fellow dragons in their Clan. Pip grew up loved and coddled by the various other dragons, the high moments punctuated by the rock bottoms of the neglect their parents. Pip's Clanmates saw to it that the young hatchling grew up loved, needed, and wanted, however.
Then, Pip's parents decided to leave the Clan.
Their life was a whirlwind after that. His parents remained neglectful, so Pip learned to care for himself. He learned to self soothe, often dreaming of the times in his old Clan. Pip grew up and when he was old enough, he left his parents without another word.
“'Where are the people?' resumed the little prince at last. 'It’s a little lonely in the desert…' 'It is lonely when you’re among people, too,' said the snake.”

The Devine Will accepted the now adult Pip with open arms. He didn't know what they saw in him, but Mnemosyne took them into her Clan.
Pip spent most days isolated in the Gardens, running from other dragons and hiding away. Then, they met Eros.
Eros was patient and kind, allowing Pip to open up in their own time. Eros allowed him to process the loss of this past clan and his parents in his own time, and Eros supported them through it all. When Pip would curl up and cry, wishing he was a hatchling again, Eros would cuddle him close despite the Veilspun's size.
Pip, in time, learned how to embrace life. They learned how to see wonder and joy again. They became more open and exuberant, bounding up to the dragons within the Devine Will with a bright smile.
Eros saw this progress and admitted that he spoke to Mnemosyne. He told Pip that he, along with Mnemosyne and Morpheus, had made a potion of youth. If Pip agreed to drink it, they would revert back to a hatchling. Eros made it extremely clear that Pip didn't have to drink it- it was merely a choice if Pip truly wanted to live life again.
"This is a happy end, come and give me your hand/I'll take you far away" |
The decision took moons to make. Days and weeks of deliberating and rethinking, Pip finally decided that yes, youth was a thing they wanted.
Their decision was supported wholeheartedly by Eros, Mnemosyne, and every dragon in the Devine Will.
Pip doesn't regret their choice. While their childhood isn't forgotten, Pip has been given the choice to relive it with new memories.
