Pleione is one to exhibit extreme caution- not least because of the sensitive nature of her field. Though clearly a mage of overflowing Arcane potential, she has learned her lessons from a few close scrapes and seeks to limit the risks of her work, knowing full well what happens if she dies.

Pleione studies the souls of creatures, and their relationship with the elemental forces that dominate Sornieth. She seeks to understand what happens after death- or in states of undeath- and when the soul is afflicted by external forces such as the Shade. It is her power over souls that made her key to the Stardust Ritual enacted by members of the Magistry upon their untimely demise. So far, thirteen of its members can be counted among the Reborn, those who have undergone the ritual.
